100-Hour Fundamental Micropigmentation Training
The Maine Academy of Micropigmentation 100-hour program is a hands-on training designed for individuals with a background in the beauty, skincare, medical, peri-medical, dental or tattooing industries, including microblading artists who are ready to make the transition from manual to machine or simply wish to offer additional services.
Individuals with strong artistic skills and those with a passion for helping people are also encouraged to apply.
This certification program includes training on brows, lips and eyeliner, as well as tips for starting a business, marketing, managing clients, and more, to ensure professional success. Upon completing the course, students will have met all requirements as defined by the Department of Health of the State of Maine to begin their new career in Micropigmentation.
Students who earn their micropigmentation certificate of completion with the Maine Academy of Micropigmentation will receive lifetime support, including the opportunity to return for additional training to fine tune their techniques and continue their professional development.

SMP is a rapidly growing segment of the permanent make up industry and it’s because of Kymberlee‘s training program that I have the confidence and the skills to offer these services to my clients. I’m fully aware that I’m not the easiest student to have in class, but she had enough patience to work with me, understand what I needed to be successful, and gave me the tools to develop my weaknesses into strengths.
The training facility in Saco is relaxing, serene and has everything needed to learn and develop the skills that are required to perform these services. You are provided with all the necessary materials that you need in order to continue learning and growing on your own time during the course and after. If you’re not willing to put in the work and meet the standards she has for her students, Then you’re probably wasting her valuable time.

I was one of Kim’s first students about a year ago! (2022) I originally reached out to her 3 years prior in search of a microblading course, which is when she opened the door of the possibilities of permanent makeup to me beyond microblading! She kept in touch with me over the years about wanting to begin teaching and when she had classes available. I was glad to have an accredited option here in Maine so close by once she finally did offer a course in PMU! Microblading regulations were recently changed after I took that course to need a PMU license, so this course saved me and my licensure/ business! I was happy to expand my knowledge under the supervision of Kim and learn not just brows but eyeliner, lips, saline removal, etc as well! Kim is passionate about teaching and was very generous with our start ups kits as well as ongoing lifetime support and checking in on her students/ graduates. I also appreciated that the course was not rushed and I was able to work around my hectic full time work schedule and I was able to break it up how I needed (scheduling may have changed since not sure). If you’re looking for a local course/ instructor that goes by the book, will set you up for legal licensure, caters to a busy life schedule, AND lifetime support then this may be the course for you! I am grateful I had the opportunity to take this course here in Maine with one of the first accredited programs/ instructors in Maine! PMU can open the door to many future professional opportunities.
